To sit here with potential wildlife that can be saved and trying to contact centers just to hear voicemails about nobody being around due to covid is the most wild thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. You guys are supposed to save wildlife but how can you do that when you’re too afraid to answer a phone because of “ covid “ Stupid excuse

Great area, be careful, watch your step
World Citizen LBS
On a Sunday they answered to my text. A bird got into my home. And we were trying to keep him alive, safe and get him out. It worked. It took us 48 hours of patience. Thank you so much for your support and advices.

This is to original message, I am sure aware is good seems everytime I have needed their help they can not help. Racoons they couldn't help, Pigeon they couldn't help, Chipmonk when they returned call they did give me a rehab number of a awesome lady in Canton. I've called many times as an avid animal lover and not once have they been able to help. Must be busy or not enough funds maybe? Volunteers?
Sometimes theyre at capacity! Noah ark also takes them!
You can email Aware....the wildlife staff and volunteers are awesome....
Unlikely. To my knowledge, all volunteers are local to the metro area. I doubt someone is gonna be willing to drive all the way out there and back. Try to find a local rehab. Reach out to a vet, they should know who to call.
Call them immediately. Maps review is not for questions or instructions on animals.
Email Aware. If it is badly injured it may not make it, but they are there on Sunday if they are able to take it and try to hand-raise it. In the meantime I would not try to feed it I would just keep it warm and safe from the cat until morning. Cats have a lot of bacteria in their mouths though and if it broke the skin the baby may die
Call AWARE. They'll tell you what to do
Call animal control
Please call AWARE asap!
They take most wild animals.
The office for where is on clan Dyke road Klondike road
I would call the wildlife center. I would not touch them with the human hand.
That is for the experts to answer. You can call the wild life center and they will be able to advice. But...in my dealings with birds..your scent is now on the bird so the parents may not help it. Its great that they are guarding it. Is it eating? Are the parents feeding it? Does it look like the wings are ok?
You have to email Aware. They will reply.
You have to go to the center and fill out the application
Game warden!
Taking care of a few properties,,have seen them do really high costly damage,,like dig out soil from under Walk way's n drive ways actually making them crack n collapse,,,home Depot does sale a granules you broadcast on your lawn to help detour them,,,,Works pretty good,,
Yes they can
Go to the website & send an email. Someone will be in touch with you about the little guy!
Yes! I recommend just going up there while they r open , no email or call bc that's what ive done and they have always taken in the animal
Please send Aware email...I have found babies before and Aware took them...❤
Call the Aware Wildlife Center for instructions on what to do
I absolutely took a damaged shell turtle to Aware....please contact them via website...the staff us Amazing!!🐢🐢
Yes, they will. However call them ahead. Maps questions is not a way to contact them. I'm the only volunteer usually seeing these just because I work with Google maps a lot.
Aware will take little baby opossum....just shoot them a email...responds within the hour 🦋
A medicine dropper probably but you should email them and see if they can take it
Is mom feeding them? I agree call AWARE Wildlife if they are abandoned
The quickest way to get response from AWARE is emailing through their website, but it sounds like this bird is probably fine. Keep an eye on it, there is probably a parent or two that are coming by to feed it!
They don't do adoptions. But if an animal is permenantly wounded they become "ambassadors" who can help educate the public. They have a half blind owl, wounded ravens and used to have a possum.
The answer is maybe. if they say they can take it, they will help it. If they tell you to take it to a rehab place, the rabbit will be put down.
Tours are free, but donations are encouraged. Please don't take advantage. Donations kerp this place running.
keep your cats inside or build them a catio.
If he is not injured wait to see if the mother finds it it could have just wandered of
If the possum is longer than a dollar it's actually not a baby (though they look it) and capable of taking care of itself. If it's smaller than that call A.W.A.R.E. and they'll help!
Feed it cotton, it'll make a nice Conversation Piece
Did you think about putting the baby back in the attic with it's mom? If it has a mom AWARE doesn't need to get involved yet... You may need a humane trapping company to get them safely from the attic. Baby is going to be better with mom.
Humane Society?
Call them before you do anything with the eggs. Wildlife is usually pretty good about taking care of themselves. Human intervention is usually what hurts them in the first place!
They can and will help. You should donate if you drop the little guy off. It costs then about $80 per rescue and they are not government funded
Call the center and leave a voicemail. They will call you back and help you through it step by step
Home Depot also sells a humane trap called Havahart
I took it to UGA vet school in Athens.
