Didn't have to wait too long but my check got cut bc they are saying that I have been overpaid all this time for my son. He's on disability and bc his father got incarcerated he's being penalized. That's messed up.

The office is the very best way to go when having to communicate with any type of government especially when dealing with the Social Security Administration.

No just walk in and get a number but I wouldn't advise going on the first or third of the month

Need to present proof of your identity with a drivers license, state ID card, or passport AND proof of identity for the child like a medical record signed and dated by the doctors office. Birth certificates are not considered proof of identity. Cards are mailed and take approximately two weeks to arrive.
