Loved the Doc! Staff, phone, has made me look for another surgeon. Would have undergone surgeries requiring months of recovery. For safety reasons, as well as to be able to fit mobility devices in bath, another bath was needed. Already had a Graceland shed ( great, to spec, beautiful, good priced additions), needed a physician’s recommendation for a safely equipped, larger bath. Staff was HORRID! Told me to use primary care physician when the ad says they are there to help with all! This Doc recommended surgeries (multiple), but has staff who won’t help, in fact, answer for the surgeon! No patient concern!

A total waste of my time. The only thing I feel good about is paying for the x-rays I needed for my knee. I came in today in reference to injuring my left knee two weeks ago. The knee was still swollen, and I have to walk with a cane. I'm a first-time patient coming in to see Dr. Richard Friedman this guy would barely let me get a word in, he did examine both of my knees and advise I needed physical therapy. I jump in and ask what were the results from my x-ray? He advised they were fine, He shuttled me in and out like cattle. He did not even advise me what to do for the swelling, and new I was in pain once he move my leg through motions. So, he didn't recommend any kind of pain medication or inflammatory. I see why some folks are very non-trusting towards doctors. Folks this is not my first rodeo and retiring from the military and 25 years of Law enforcement with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. I'm very sensitive when it comes to getting unfair complaints. I have numerous doctors, VA and private. I would not recommend this cattle pusher (Richard Friedman) to my worst enemy. I can assure you this MUSC location will not see another penny from me. The Nexton office which is less than 5 minutes from my home does not look good from the reviews either. Looks like Roper and the VA and private practice will continue to get my money. PLEASE DON'T RESPOND WITH YOUR AUTOMATED RESPONSE...YOU KNOW NO-ONE IS GOING TO CALL YOU... JUST FIX THE PROBLEM AND GET BETTER. 7-15-2022 Just received a letter from Lisa Watkins Program Coordinator. That Dr Friedman stands by his diagnosis. Thats so funny, after my visit with him I met with my primary care Doctor, who immediately put me on a steroid treatment, with pain meds. Still meeting with a VA doctor, the end of this month because something is still not right with my knee. SMH

Dr Chris Gross was AMAZING. He’s the man. However when I went back to get stitches removed I thought they did a good job. Later I realized that two ends to stitches were left in. I didn’t realize this as I dry my leg with a towel. I realize it make an appointment to have them removed. I’m waiting here for an hour and ppl sit and get called back. I wait 45 min. Then I go to the front and the lady didn’t realize that my type of an appointment was “nurse” visit and you have to notify them. This is taking away from my work day. Again Dr Chris Gross was great. The other experiences not so much.

Never heard of that happening at this office. I'm not sure what would prompt the staff to do so. I'm sorry that happened

Last visit I saw a small sign on incoming patients desk that said if you are uninsured please be prepared to pay an $80. down payment and you can work out payments. BuT, my son rolled his auto a year ago was taken to MUSC n he has no insurance. They kept him 1 night and day to make sure he was stable. Roper is where he ended up, they have a legit program that pays 100% of any care if you qualify. You have to call and ask and they will direct you. Good luck and I hope you get treated soon. This doesnt show how long ago your ? was posted.
Depends on the age of the patient and the injury that needs to be casted. 95% of the time the cast tech will apply the cast under the direction from the MD. They are the most experienced in this profession.
