All 11 Collection and Recycling Centers are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. They are closed on Tuesday and Thursday and on New Year's Day (Jan. 1), Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day (Dec. 25). -- Lexington County Recycling Coordinator

Hi Damien, all items with coolant or cooling elements need to be brought to 498 Landfill Lane, Lexington, SC 29073 as they contain Freon that needs to be removed by a hazardous waste professional. These units are $15 to be disposed of compliant with state and federal laws. Please call 803-785-3325 Option #6 for more information.
Some items can be re-used! If possible, donate to a local charity such as the Habitat or Humanity Restore. When item needs to be permanently discarded, please place in the yard waste compactor at your nearest Collection and Recycling Center.
We accept clean, reusable clothes, shoes and bedding in the TEXTILE container which we donate to local charities. We work with 19 different vendors to recycle the 26 different recyclable products that we collect. Only the household garbage and yard waste are landfilled. -- Lexington County Recycling Coordinator
