Wilmington location and this location are completely useless, the optimum wellness plan is the BIGGEST waste of money. I’ve been with Banfield for almost 5 years and it seems like there’s always an issue. I live near Wilmington but visit Charlotte frequently, my dog got really bad diarrhea a month ago and I took him to the Wilmington location and they gave me medicine to help, which did, but forgot to mention he had an ear infection in both ears? Ok. Knowing I live an hour away from the Wilmington location, I had to make a trip back up there just for medicine. Fine. A month later, I’m in Charlotte visiting and he gets diarrhea again, I call both locations to see if there’s any way he can be seen or get his medicine refilled and there’s literally nothing that can be done, they recommend taking him to an emergency vet, mind you I’m a college student who already pays 80 a month for this plan and now they want me to go spend hundreds of dollars to get medicine they could’ve easily refilled and sent to another location. Banfield is literally your basic money hungry corporation that does not care. Please do not waste your time or your money.

We have been going here for a long time and they have always had excellent doctors and nurses (always been very friendly and helpful) but they have gotten so busy over the last few years! 4/5 stars because of the 20 minute wait for what should have been a drop off. Also I needed a prescription filled for flea medicine it took a whole week just to get someone to sign on it. Take your pet early in the day. They probably need more staff and longer hours to handle the increase in business.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
