Very discouraging interview. Lady was stubborn and disrespectful. This conversation threw me into a nervous breakdown. I’m unsure of what sort of cases they WILL assist on. Interviewer made gross assumptions about my case and insisted my only hope was to hire an attorney although I was clear that was beyond my means. Cruel. Offered no other sources of information.

SC legal aid doesn’t handle pro Bono criminal cases, that’s what the public defender’s office is for or a private attorney, they will handle all that.
Yes they do have to go downtown greenville to there office.
My family was acussed of false alligations and statements from flagship property management and from Brad Morris and Meg and landlord this are people who falsely alligations against us cause us to force out of my rental unit from 809 B west Poinsett st sending me to the hospital after landlord gave me a 30 day notice to move out and lying at court stating we where evicted and not mentioning to the judge that we were forced out in 30 days notice to move out with false aligations I went to court to defend myself because mutiple times I called legal aide to assist me but never was helped so I was my own lawyer to my own family case the judge said if keys where to be given to my landlord my name would be clear of all false statements and alligations would be removed from my families case how sure can I know if this will be done for sure even after returning keys to my landlord who doesn't deserve to win after I was hospilized for his fault my health is not in any good conditions at all
Unfortunately no and it makes me so mad!!!! Senior citizens (most of them) have earned the right to be able to relax once they retire without having to wonder if they are going to have to choose between life saving medicine or food that month, it infuriates me and I’m a big advocate for change for them. Like right now, my grandfather just died and they canceled his life insurance policy for ONE missed payment after making 15 years of consecutive payments with no problems, he even paid early. Now I’m having to come up with all sorts of fundraisers to be able to even cremate my grandfather which alone is 925 dollars. And I’ve only been able to raise 449 dollars which Facebook has taken like 40 in expenses. It’s been 9 days since he died. Not even his own two daughters will help, I’m the only one willing to help, my grandmother can’t help because her social security is going to have to pay this month’s bills. I’m sorry for going off like that but I am so sorry that is happening to you :(
