I had good experiences with Corner Home Medical in the past, but recently there has been a big change. New ownership perhaps? The people I used to speak to on the phone are no longer there. They used to order my compression stockings within a day or two of me sending a prescription; now I was told over the phone that it will take “one to two weeks” to get confirmation from my insurance. WHAT? When I stated that this is very different from the past, the person on the phone said he had no record of me every ordering from them. (That’s strange as I’ve ordered stockings through them at least four times!) After calling multiple times, I decided that while waiting for their promised phone call, I would have to order stockings myself and deal with insurance reimbursement, as this is a very necessary item for me to get in a timely manner. Guess what? The mythical phone call never materialized. In my calls to other medical supply stores (didn’t find one that does compression stockings) it was confirmed to me by an employee of another store that this is totally unheard of to take all this time to “verify insurance;” it should be the same day! Corner Home Medical apparently doesn’t want business, and they have lost mine.

Thanks for your question, JP. It is not difficult to switch your CPAP fulfillment to CHM. We will need your insurance information and demographics (name, date of birth, address, phone #, etc). We will also need the qualifying documentation related to your CPAP account. This includes your current prescription, chart notes from your physician as well as your sleep study. You can obtain this from your current provider and fax to us at 763-536-3590 or ask them to send the information to us. They will need to be sure to provide your name and contact information/phone number so that we can reach out to you when it is received.
