Please open this place back up for camping!!! This covid nonsense is getting ridiculous. This is so sad, at this point it's been 2 years now and everytime I come down here to see if yall are opening the park back up it just keeps getting worse with more things closed down now I see a sign that says the cops will be called if a tax payer wants to go camp down there for the weekend. Instead of just taking the easy way and closing stuff down why dont yall come up with a solution to get this place back up and running. Pine mountain is also falling apart the picnic table is torn down and a bunch of trash in the parking spot.

Camp Host Lynn was very nice and helpful. the day area is pretty run down which will give you a creapy vibe pulling in but the campground is nice. the lake is beautiful and well stocked. swimming, fishing and kayaking. We ended up staying longer then expected because we enjoyed the place. It did say no tent camping because the bathroom is closed due to a plumbing issue but people brought their tents and potties. there is a dump station that's free. great prices, great place.

This little lake is cute. We went on a Wednesday early afternoon. I caught 3 small fish and threw them back. There is this little island that you can walk to over the bridge. It has trees for nice covering and a bench. We stayed for about 2.5 hours. It was really relaxing. Not crowded at all.

Such a peaceful camping experience! Great for kids. The lake is serene and peaceful, and although it was chilly, the morning was beautiful. Make sure to bring cash - singles and 5's - because there is not an attendant at the entry to make change. Even if just visiting for the day (see pics for rates). Be prepared with a pen or pencil to fill out an envelope to pay for your site and a placard to hang in your window. Bring firewood and or charcoal- lots of sites have fire pits and they all have a bbq. There are 2 playgrounds, a basketball court, a swim beach, and a little island with picnic tables and another bbq grill. Sunrise is magnificent. Pets are welcome, on leashes. Bathrooms are tidy, and although showers are advertised we didn't stay long enough to locate them. Enjoy and happy camping!

Most definitely. Though, I'd probably keep my pet T-rex on a leash. Seriously though, its a great place to take your dogs.
Both times I stayed was on a weekday and they had plenty of open spots. Weekends, I don't know.
It's the national forest. U can even hurt, if I have a hunting license
Excellent fishing in Chewalla!!!!!
You can, but the lake is currently closef
Yes
Yes bathrooms are locked though. 1 port a potty. No soap or water or hand sanitizer
I always use the the box . i never see anyone manning the place
Yea renting a campsite gives you all access to everything that's there
Yeah, on certain sites
As long as it's open. Sure
I would say to go drive around the area of homes to check and see or call Tippah Lake Store. They may be able to help you.
