Brought my family for our first shooting lesson. We signed up for their basic shooting package. The instructor Zack was awesome and super nice/friendly (5⭐️), he shown us how to properly handle the gun. This place is super clean, I was shocked when I went into the restroom. If they are closer to my home, I would join their membership.

I have taken permit to carry course 4 times now and the last 2 times has been at Total Defense. The information in the course was very good and informative. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging. The course was set up and obviously sponsored by USCCA and I did not care for the half hour "Informercial" for the USCCA and them trying to get you to join. I think time could better spent on the course material.

Yes we do. There is no additional charge to use rental eye and ear pro. We also have it available for purchase of you what your own.
We leave that up to parents within reason. You know your children better than we do. If you feel they are ready and able listen to and follow all rules, then they are good to go. We love seeing the younger generations getting into the shooting sports!
Eugene, we currently offer our permit to carry class 7 times a week. You can see the full schedule at the provided link. Anything date in bold has at least one spot open. Once you click the date, it will show you what time that specific class starts. The cost for the class is $69.00. Minnesota requires a permit for long guns if the firearm has 3 or more of the following.... 1- High Capacity Magazines (More than 10 rounds) 2- Folding or telescoping stock. 3- Pistol Grip 4- Muzzle device (Flash Hider, Threaded, Etc.) 5- Bayonet Lug This is why most Modern Sporting Rifles or AR Style rifles require a Permit to Purchase or Permit to Carry to purchase or transfer from an FFL Dealer. Not sure what you mean by a private dealer. We are a full service FFL dealer. You must be 21 years old to purchase pistol ammo and to rent handguns.
Yes. Shotguns may be shot in the range. We just require slugs only. No shot is allowed.
