Was very interesting. Major Greer gave us a tour and was knowledgeable about the displays. He also told us some stories about his life and long career in the service.

I really enjoyed walking around this beautiful park. Unfortunately a lot of the old buildings are falling apart and blocked off, but I enjoyed walking around the house, blacksmithy, and jail. My favorite part was seeing all the gorgeous flowers and walking through the fruit and vegetable garden.

The entire experience was therapeutic & relaxing! I usually go alone once a month and I'll say this has been an enriching experience. Most of all, IT'S FREE beautiful, natural scenery that help you recharge from the stresses of life!

We've been coming here for years. It continues to be one of our favorite local parks even during covid. It's got great shaded paved waking trails and two playgrounds... Lots of open spaces for social distancing... Multiple pavilions and green grass for picnics. The veterans memorial areas are beautiful and well maintained. My children really love the bridge, train, and the helicopter. It's also a great location for playing Pokemon go and baseball. Plus it's right across from a couple restaurants too. It has public bathrooms(they are not the cleanest option tho). There's a lot of cool historical buildings to check out too. We highly recommend checking it out.

Many different places in this park that are quiet and good places to study. Just depends on whether you want to be under a pavilion or prefer to feel the sunshine. I suggest you check out all areas of Heritage park. It really is a huge place with enough to accommodate anyone. I'm there a lot.
Yes, as long as they are with you at all times!
There is a small creek but you won't be able to access it, if you drive 3 miles down you will find HOPE park, there is a little lake/creek full of turtles and many other wild animals, very fun ans interesting.
Heritage Park has a community garden, veterans museum, walking path, and play areas. For fishing, check out the Henry County Water Authority. They have a reserve in Locust Grove for fishing. Also, you can fish along the South River.
Yes
Indoor or outdoor? Heritage park had a few outdoor pavilions and next to heritage park is a county facility for indoor meetings. You'll have to call parks and recreation
Yes, as long as they are leashed and you bring your own baggies
I don't think they are bike trails I believe i saw a sign that stated no skateboarding or bikes.
Oh yes
Use of Pavilions and picnic table is free, first come first serve basis. The Park is open to all, not just Henry County residents. It's a beautiful park with several different areas, and historical buildings from Henry County as well as Museum and a Rec Center
Yes and no. For instance, pavilion 3 up at the ball park is free; however there is a 2 hour limit and it's first come first serve. Also there is a playground at P3. P2 has a playground as well but is near parking and is usually more crowded. *This one must be rented.* P1 is first come first serve. But it is right near the entrance, thus high traffic. For these reasons, I recommend pavilion 3. To get to it, drive right beside the helicopter and head right on up. The memorial is on the left; the pavilion is just beyond that. Try not to come on game night. There is a lot of people up there then. Normally it is the most secluded.
