Holiday Inn Brunswick I-95 (Exit 38), an IHG Hotel

The hotel lobby is pretty and inviting, but elevators, hallways, and rooms need major renovations. They are dreary, worn, and need replacement of their flooring. Service personnel is good and responsive. The bed was comfortable and the room had been cleaned, but the bathroom grout no longer is sealed, so it appears to be dirty. The shower doors have lime scale on their edges and the door tracks have some sort of hard debris in them. The shower pan is also worn..it just needs a renovation.

Stayed here the end of April. Very nice hotel. Clean. Smelled nice upon entering. Friendly service. Rachel was at the desk when we checked out. She was very kind and competent. No issues. Harris restaurant attached to the hotel was also very good. Convenient location. Served till 11pm on Friday Eve. Great service there was well.

Positive: It was overall comfortable and fairly quiet. Negative: Rooms were poorly lit. Not enough plugs, no USB ports for charging electronics. Found stray hairs (not mine) in the shower, which is gross. Service at attached restaurant was extremely slow, and food was cold.

Positive: Its Holiday Inn and Holiday Inns are all essentially the same and when you travel a lot, sameness is comforting and welcome. Negative: I arrived at 6pm and wasn't able to go up to my room until 7:30 because the rooms were still being turned. The property is short-staffed. No hot breakfast, no hot coffee for the road. Hotel was fully booked, room was fine, this experience not so much.
