I feel they only help parents that receive assistance. It's sad, but I have given my daughter's father information several times, and they refuse to serve him.

Worst place ever. They do not believe in or uphold rights for Fathers. They are beyond slow, finance Dept has had my paperwork for more than 3 months. Instead of correcting the issue they are intercepting my taxes to pay a debt I don't owe. Everyone you talk to gives you a different story. They will not respond to emails. Even the ladies you talk to with the 1800 number have said this is just confusion and they don't know what they're doing. At this point they have lied to steal my money and when confronted my ex wife and I are getting the run around. She has told them I'm current on child support and they're still attempting to take over 5 thousand dollars from me. Say she never filled any paperwork out then the next case note says she did just one. So in my case notes alone they have lied. I suggest getting an attorney before dealing with these people. I actually had to call the governors office to get anywhere. Sad when you have to go that far just to defend yourself and prove you take care of your kids

I found out that a child I was paying support for wasn't mine. One judge made the mother and child repay the person. In my case the judge I had didn't order the mother repay me. 14 years payments.

He has to get a lawyer. Get joint custody and visitation that is ordered through the courts.
Pay what you owe in child support
Unless the child is still in high school, 18 is the cut-off for paying child support, in all court orders signed since 1993 in Georgia. If the child is still in high school, child support continues until age 20.
Im not a lawyer, but to get child support you need to apply for it at DCSS. Your question sounds like you might need a lawyer for the situation.
Visit https://childsupport.georgia.gov and you will find instructions to help you.
I filed in December 2019 and got my first payment in April.
Not true, every time I call the automated system it blurts out how much I owe for making the call
They do, but they charge like $20 extra tonuse a card. Trying to get them to take cash is like pulling teeth. All they want it that extra $20.
