Not good for mountain biking. 99% filled with tons of tree roots all sizes, rocks of all sizes over the hard to distinguish trails. Not clearly marked. Ramps & poorly built bridges in bad shape and mossy. Highly technical because of all the possible hazards of it not being maintained. A walker that was there with their dog said he has been there quite often and has only seen 4 mountain bikers in 3 or so months. So that gives you an idea of this place. I would say it is scenic for walkers and their dogs. Just beware of bears that might be there. Take bear spray. Also, the road to this place is very narrow and winding through the back hills. One way in and out. Not good for campers or extra large trucks. We have a dully and it took the whole road. Try it if you like a challenge. I didn't enjoy it and I have ridden other trails in Michigan and upper peninsula which were terrific.

Great trail, wide with restrooms located near the camp sites. Great loop for a day trip hike.

Questions & Answers

Is there a place for campers here as my friend is bound to a wheelchair..

Just from my personal experience I think it would be possible to go into some of the closer campsites with a wheel chair. I’d recommend visiting the location first to make sure you’re comfortable with the gravel paths and narrow bridge crossings.

Where is the camp site? I have a friend that is in a wheelchair and we are looking for inexpensive camp sites close to home. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you and GOD BLESS.

It's not a place to take a wheelchair and camp from what I can see. I was just their 10/3/2022 to go mountain biking and it was terrible. The place is run down and not very consumer park friendly. It is a narrow street that leads back in the hills. One way in on a winding road and one way out. Don't really recommend it for camping or wheelchairs in my opinion.
