Not much parking space but if you wait around, might get a spot. It's weird but if you notice there is a house right next to the lighthouse and it's private property. So there's a walkway which is considered public land but there's probably right next to it. There's a sign on the door that says do not try to enter. Cute! Little spot. Would have been nicer if it wasn't so cloudy. The sun peaked out every now and then and it was beautiful in person
Cruising with the Clemons
Parking is limited and there will be a wait towards sunset. We walked in from our campground and beat everyone that passed is driving by a good 10+ minutes. Be sure to get up close to the light house with a very short walk on the south side of the parking lot and then hit the north side trail to get down below the might house for one of the most photographed spots in the park.

Nice bit of history learning the this is the only lighthouse accessible by car! You cannot go inside but can view the lighthouse from both sides... Small parking lot but there are bathroom facilities available. Wear those shoes if you want to take pictures from the rocky shoreline on the left side. Be careful. Not interesting for young kids.

Parking is tight! The line went fast, but there are not a ton of spots. The lighthouse is still a private residence, so make sure you are respectful of the boundaries around the property. Views are amazing….

Yes you can!, but the parking is very limited! & the road is narrow to get in there!, so I would get there early! (Either at sunrise or sunset!)
It was open during thanksgiving day, you drive up to the lighthouse. Unfortunetly I belive the inside is closed for personnel only.
As best I know, the public not allowed in this lighthouse, except maybe on rare occasions, but the thick walls and cooler temps of Maine should keep it relatively cool inside, even in summer
National Park fees (Acadia costs like $30/week). Also your sanity if you try to go during sunset and wait forever to park.
You won't find a desert here sorry. There is a desert in Maine though! It's about 4 hours away in Freeport.
I like to stop on by the fact farm, and hand pick my facts - that way I can be sure the facts I pick align with my preconceptions of reality...
