There is a good sized boat launch here that is used year-round. In winter it provides easy access to the ice for ice shacks, vehicles, and snowmobiling. The access road is somewhat steep and curvy, so not suitable for really large heavy boats.

Well, it depends. Oct 5th is the opening of bow season. Shotgun starts Oct 26th but the end depends on your WMU. Get a free hunting guide at any shop that sells hunting supplies and licenses.
