Only reason I would give any stars at all is because our original sales rep was great! We put down a deposit for a custom home the day we looked at them. Things came up that we had to take care of on our new property before being able to place the home on our property so we asked for our deposit back that was fully refundable. June 20 our check was supposedly mailed to us. I called multiple times to check on it as I was told it would be there by Friday June 24 and it never was and I would be told when I called to call back a different day if not received, finally on July 8th (19 days later) they decided to cancel the original check and said I would have a new one by the next Friday well July 15 rolled around and no check! I notified them once more come to find out the check was not canceled on July 8! I then contacted corporate. Corporate called me Monday morning (July 18th) very willing to help was gonna have my check overnighted and here we are July 21st with no check. I called corporate again today and I’m told if I don’t get it by next Friday July 29 then to call them back! I let them know that was not ok and this was ridiculous to have to wait over a month for something I was suppose to get in 5 days. I guess that’s not what they wanted to hear so she hung up on me. So not only does the company not seem to care about their customer service at the office level, neither does the corporate level.

No response to any calls or texts. Their crew “fixed” my bathtub and caused a leak, which has caused mold. Also left a mess and bottle of dip spit when they originally “fixed” the tub. Multiple leaks in bathrooms and shingles are not done correctly. House was never leveled up so one side is higher than the other. Electric was not wired correctly and I didn’t have power to my kitchen, they didn’t come to fix it so I had to spend time and money to have it fixed. They were supposed to come and work on some of this, I took off work and they never showed. I would go any other direction if I am looking into buying a home from Clayton Homes. Update: They came to fix a mold issue that happened due to leaks they caused and replaced existing wall with different color wall, caused a leak on a sink that was not leaking and left a mess of drywall all over the floor. Have reached out about this and they continue to ignore the issues. They still have not fixed my unlevel home. This company has the worst customer service I have ever witnessed and I would steer clear of possible. I am not even touching on the issue of a rising price with no warning and the seller messing up signed documents causing me to have to go back a re-sign and the seller not even being there.

Me and my husband bought a used 2016 mobile home from this establishment in July 2021. When we originally went to look at it we noticed it had mold is several places. Corey our salesman said it would be no problem to fix this. They would replace the sheet rock and spray a bleach/water mix. They did come back several times and work on things. They replaced the dry wall however it was with the wrong color. (I could over look this) However we never knew when they would show back up and it was never in a timely manner. Corey was notorious for ignoring my text. You can see The screen shot I took of me talking with my bank lady about with holding the check until they fix it. And you can also see if response. He had Ignored me until then. It is now January 2022. And it is still leaking in two different spots. A1 movers also completely broke a cross brace under the mobile home with moving it over the ditch that I sent them photos of saying that they would need something to bridge it over. When they went over the ditch it made a huge pop and that is why the walls are pulled like they are in the photos. Yes this place is cheaper. Yes you get what you pay for. I wish I could give 0 stars.

We put a deposit on the Farmhouse Breeze 72 in June. The sales process was fantastic. Matt was wonderful to work with and still checks in periodically. However, when the home was delivered, there were several damages, cracked ceilings, cracked drywall , etc. Which is expected with a mobile home - no big deal. We have been very understanding. Our home was delivered 8/30/21. The trim service men came on 9/6/21 and did not finish the job. They left several places without trim. The first service guy came to our home on 9/24/21, nearly one month after our home was delivered. He fixed what he could on the inside but said anything else would have to be ordered - light fixtures, dry wall, shingles, etc. He took the pieces on the inside that did not belong to our trailer with him that day. Friday, 10/1/21, we had gone without hot water for 4 days prior to this. We tried fixing the issue ourselves, but weren’t able. After replacing elements in the hot water heater, we discovered that the hot water heater had never been connected when the trailer was put together. The wiring or water lines were never connected after the home was delivered. We contacted Claytons in Corbin and they sent someone out on 10/4/21, fairly quickly. This should have been done prior to having the home set up. But still, we were understanding. We purchased a block foundation with our home and our block was delivered the next day we questioned it. From that point, the block sat at our home for 3+ weeks. Once we were scheduled for the block guys to show up, they never did on that Wednesday. They got behind. Again, we understood. Things happen, jobs go wrong, etc. You never leave a job unfinished. We were under the impression that all jobs would be completed by October. Living in the Tennessee area, we live in mud clay. By the block underpinning being delayed, it has delayed us on being able to complete our yard work, which is causing a distress of tracking mud into our brand new 2021 home. Finally, 11/9/21, the block was started. We had no complaints. It looked great and we were satisfied. We asked for our trap door not to be there placed where it was, but the next day, it was exactly where we did not want it. Instead of scrapping the dirt from the footers to the outside, the mud and dirt was scrapped under the trailer. I am sure, no one would want to crawl around in that if it were them. Again, we still did not make a big fuss. Gradually, our inside has been fixed with repairs still waiting. Now, we are waiting on a replacement window because ours is cracked in our master bed. This has been ordered since the first of November.. The outside of our home, cosmetically, has still not been touched. There are shingles still missing, repairs to be made, etc. We are told we are waiting on the window to come in before scheduling another service. When there is plenty of work to be done besides replacing only the window.. I hate to be “that customer” or complain. I am a very understanding person but enough is enough.
