Since they opened it to commercial use the line has been horrible, long waits. Also makes it dangerous if you try to get to hominy creek park
Edward B
The man who drives the tractor, and pushes trash around is super dangerous. He has no regard for members of the public or safety. I will not be dumping here again because I won’t lose my life dumping trash. They really need to replace him because I’ve been here multiple times and he is incredibly rude and likes to just yell at random people.

33-gallon bags of household waste with recyclables removed: $2/bag Less than 33-gallon bags: $1/bag Loads under 440 lbs @ $12 minimum
Yes I work for a waste company and I have taken mattresses and large furniture there and they take it from me do not accept the paint there, paint must be dried out or they won't take it, must take paint to the landfill.
As long as the paint is dry it can be put in with your trash. Again only if it is dry, can it go in the trash.
you have to take the old air conditoner to the main land fill on the river it's free for county residents
No
No. Big landfill on Panther Branch Rd is what that needs to go
I have to use the construction side more than anything, but if I'm not mistaken they have a section dedicated to recycling i.e. plastic bottles, cardboard, and household trash.
If you put kitty litter in it and dry it out completely, you can through it away in your normal trash technically. It just can't be in liquid form.
Yes you can dump anything here.
I believe they will, yes.
I don't think so. Call to find out for sure, I'm sure they will not only answer your question but advise you where you can dispose of properly.
Yes, it's a per tire fee but I don't know what the fee is
Yes, you can.. the only they do not take is wet paint, chemicals, TVs and computers, and yard waste.
Gotta take tv's to dump. I believe they have designated days
It’s by the weight with a minimum. If you’re talking about construction waste.
Yes we can take them.
Transfer station or the landfill will take them
They a bin for metal
Yes, the scale attendant will direct you where to take
Buncombe county area 4
Did you ever find out?
What kind of liquids are you referring to?
Scrap yard
Not positive but you may want to take them to the landfill. Fridays they take odd stuff.
Yes I believe they do but from my experience they want it to be relatively baggable.
No they do not except old gas. You May want to try asking a mechanic shop, or automotive shop.
Yes
Yes
Landfill
Yes they have an area for appliance's
Yes theres a blue metel dumpster there that is where all metel go,s
As long as they are empty yes we except them and they can go in our metal recycling box.
Recycling goes to the left of the office door inside the pit area. If you ever need further assistance while at the facility, please stop by the Scale house and we will be glad to help you. Thanks carlene
Oops just saw that question had been answered, no fee for recycled materials
There is a fee to dispose of garbage here: the fees are as followed: 33-gallon bags of household waste -$2.00 per bag Less than 33-gallon bags:-$1.00 per bag $12 minimum for loads under 440 LBS. Any garbage weighing over the 440 LBS. will be weighted and the fee then is $47.75 per ton of garbage.
Yes, we accept microwaves. It is a recyclable item so there is no cost to drop it off.
Our operating hours on Saturdays are; 6:00 am - 1:00pm
Oil heater and fan can be disposed here. Old printer needs to go to the landfill. We are not set up to take items like that.
We have a metal box here you can throw anything metal in and the other things can be thrown in the regular trash. We do not take large furniture and mattresses. Also do not take paint or paint related materials.
That would have to be disposed at the Buncombe County Landfill on Panther Branch Road.
yes, you can dispose of those items here.
I just dropped off a broken microwave there. I was charged nothing. And I was told to put it in the middle recycling so… Theoretically they are recycling at least some of it.
You can take it to the stump dump on river road though
