Rocky Ridge Ranch is wonderful. The farmers are great. The products are great. The customer service is great. My family has been a happy customer/Member for many years. And, as I've also been the person who manages the website for Rocky Ridge Ranch for quite some time, I'd like to take a moment to share a few points addressing the one negative review left by someone named Carissa. First, we keep detailed records of all our customer purchases and honestly have no history of anyone by that name ever purchasing from us. Second, most of our meat products typically sell out within weeks of processing. It's highly unusual but, if we do happen to have a slow season and something like ground beef, which we try to keep a large supply of, gets more than a few months old we generally discount it for quick sale or donate to local churches. We rarely, if ever, sell anything beyond even a year old so Carissa's meritless claim is entirely untrue. Third, her statement about oats and barely in the feed is misleading. Our beef cattle are indeed 100% grass fed, never receiving feed grain of any kind and has been this way for nearly 40 years. The following is what is actually stated on our website: "As the piglets grow they continue foraging on pasture and are supplemented with all natural feed that we custom mix using fresh local small grains such as Barley, Wheat, Triticale, Oats, and Peas. Our farm is a dry land farm and when our forage eventually turns dry we pasture a "Forage Salad Bar" of annual plants such as turnips, herbs, sunflowers, and clover among others that supplement the grains. Later in the year we supplement their diet with alfalfa and pea/oat hay which continues through the winter." The reason we supplement our pigs diet with grains and other produce is because, unlike beef, pigs were not created to subsist on grass alone. To ensure the animals optimal health they benefit from and need extra nutrition, which all farmers who raise pigs naturally can attest to. Fourth and last, if anyone would like to take the time to read Carissa's Google reviews of other businesses she frequents they would see that, with all due respect to her, it's very unlikely she actually purchased our higher cost products, or is truly concerned with the benefits of eating locally raised, grass fed meats and organic foods. We're really not sure why someone would purposely make misleading/false statements about our business. Regardless, we genuinely wish her well and hope that honesty and joy will find a place in her daily life. Jesse - On behalf of Gary, So, their family and everyone else involved in helping Rocky Ridge Ranch remain a pioneer of healthy sustainable farming for the greater Spokane area.

One package was obviously rotten and two other packages, were from 2016...4 years old!! Oh and the website says oats and barley are included in the feed so it's not 100 percent grass fed either
