Shady place. My father was here and it was my greatest regret. The facility looks nice and they act nice to make sure your loved one gets comfortable, but their attitude quickly changes. Your loved one will never be seen by an actual doctor (md). They will lie and say they have a psychiatrist on staff and a physician but it’s only nurse practitioners, who prescribe questionable things. They prescribe dangerous amounts of antipsychotics to keep the elderly quiet. They make fake diagnoses on charts to increase the revenue/billing. They also falsely lie and state that insurance doesn’t cover services like transport, and regular pt. The social workers are no better. All this facility cares about is looking pretty to keep their bottom line. They just let patients decline here and do the bare minimum. The administration is no better and will also tell you lies. When I asked my fathers medical records they tried to say they don’t give them out. But that is a total hippa violation and is extremely illegal. They will try to pull the wool over your eyes. Anyone who needs long term services—be knowledgeable about the law. They think you don’t know it and will definitely say anything to not spend any extra money and cover themselves. This place is a profit over patient facility. I would recommend you take your loved one somewhere else. They will not be treated well and will not be protected. It is my deepest regret that my father was here.

If I can help one family benefit from my family’s experience this will be worth it. The one star is for the medical staff. They try hard to help. The administrative staff is there to see how they could get Medicare funds. They don’t care if VP is the right facility for the patient. My husband was admitted to VP rehab on Dec.30, 2021. He suffered a brain bleed stroke that left him paralyzed on left side. I had his chart sent over from Penn Medicine where he had been for a month. I met personally with admissions to tour facility and see if they were able to handle a stroke patient with his needs. They said they reviewed his chart and they could give him the care and rehab he required. They lied. They are in no way capable of handling patients with this degree of needed care. Rehab is limited to patients recovering from surgery or heart attack. They do not have the resources to handle brain injury cases. All I ask is why not be honest and suggest my husband might benefit from a specialized facility? (Encompass, jfk, Kessler to name a few) no one told me all sub acute facilities are not the same. Precious time has been lost in terms of rehab . Another point that has to be mentioned is that my husband did not receive a shower in the two months he was at VP. (I think there’s a health law that applies to this) Why? I kept pressing the staff that he needed a shower. If you are not mobile they don’t have the proper shower chair or trained staff to shower the patient - liability issue. If they had been honest with me my husband might have benefited from the proper facility. By the time I realized my mistake, it was too late to transfer him to one of the above mentioned facilities.so do your homework when you consider this facility for anything more than light rehab.%

I cannot express how much gratitude I have for Village Point. My father was comfortable and well taken care of there. The staff was caring and knowledgeable and responsive. There has been quite a few changes in management but having met the new team I have no doubt Village Point will get even better.
