I found this facility to be real people friendly and clean. The residents were happy and lots of activities going on. Receptionist could have been a little more welcoming to this facility as she is the first person whom you see an can set the tone for the rest of the facility. When inside it was beautiful but most importantly very clean and met the rehab director , administrator and activity director who were most welcoming and top notch professionals. Thanks for your great work.

My name is Eldon. I recently had hip replacement surgery. Unfortunately , during recovery, i had a stoke which affected my right side. The hip replacement was on my left side. The doctors said quick therapy was the best course. The doctors recommended Life Care of Hixson for my recovery. I was told they had the best therapist and resources to meet the needs of my condition. While i was there I feel I had some of the best therapy I could have received. During my recovery I regained the use of my right side which was paralyzed from the stroke. Due to the care of the therapist I can now walk with a walker and continue my therapy on my hip and right hand. The therapist and therapy are excellent. The CNAs take great care of you which helps with recovery. The nutrition is good as well. I highly recommend Life Care of Hixson.

This is the most loving place! Is is not like a hospital or other rehab facility, it is like a home; I love so many of the staff: Denise, Dawn, Crystal, Jeffrey, Keisha, Teresa, Olivia, Ryan the student- all have been absolutely wonderful to me. All the CNAs have been so nice and kind. I pray God blesses those facility and have prayed that everyday and will continue. You can feel Christ working through the staff here!

Check with your insurance company and they can give you answers as to what facilities and type of care will be accepted.
Medicare qualified and is not terminal. Has to be in hospital for 72 hours and after discharge is able to tolerate therapy to rehabilitate and return to home. Is not a locked unit so dementia with exit seeking is not advised. This is not acute care and if patient requires frequent one on one from healthcare staff then family should accommodate and help with keeping their loved one comfortable in a therapy based environment.
