....another reason for me not to trust WellStar. I had surgery there on 9.15.2021. While I was waiting to be moved to the OR, the staff in the room where I waited was playing around and flirting with each other and it took me a few times to get their attention when I needed something. While in the recovery room after my procedure, the oxygen that I was being given was too high and caused burning in my nose and throat and gave me a massive headache. I had to be put in a sling because I had shoulder surgery and the sling was already set to the correct size for me during my pre-op but when it was put on my post-op all of the straps had been loosened and it no longer fit correctly. The staff seemed clueless as to what to do. Very very sad.

To Be Frank

It pains me(no pun intended) to leave 2 star. Every person I interacted with the moment I walked through the door was warm, welcoming and made sure my visit was as pleasant as can be. Unfortunately, I had Teresa as my nurse(again). It wasn't the fact that she kept pulling up her pants that didn't seem to stay up. It wasn't even her using my body as a trash can as she proceeded to put every wrapper she opened trying to put in my IV drip. What made this experience extremely unpleasant was the fact this lady does not know how to put in an IV. This was the 2nd time I've been to this center for surgery. I've had her both times. The first time I let it go, maybe she was new, having a bad day or something. This time is either intentional or she incompetent. Luckily for me this time she only had to stick me twice, instead of 4 times like last time. Besides that the experience was great. From the Greeter, Check-in desk, information desk, Anestheiologist and the Surgeon. They all did a great job. It was over before I knew it. 5-stars to them.

One day post-op and I'm so thankful for every person at this facility. There wasn't a single person that didn't go out of their way to make sure I was at ease and well taken care of. My entire experience with the surgery department was so amazing. I had on hiccup because my procedure was changed to outpatient but even that was handled professionally. My nurse Angela was the absolute best and everyone else from the time I was called back was equally as great. I felt the ENTIRE staff had the sole objective to take great care of me.

Excellent experience. All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly, informative and professional. The nurse chatter was a nice distraction to the empty stomach and early morning, everyone seemed so happy and kind with everyone there. We were in and out before we expected, which, basically never happens in the medical world. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this location if the need arose.
