I called several weeks ago, around 6-8 weeks and have left messages and still today I haven't received one call. I am not impressed that they won't help my son with medications needed, only councilling. I feel like they don't care that he's suffering mentally and it's pretty bad when a person needs help and they can't receive it due to these people not willing to listen or trying to understand what or why he needs their help. They are suppose to help people, not neglect them and their needs!! He has been off antidepressants now for days and you aren't suppose to stop cold turkey or run out. I guess they would rather see people live in psychiatric wards, than live out on their own. They need ro be reported for negligence. What's the point of being open if no help is provided? Money most likely.

I can't say enough good about this organization. My brother started treatment here 5+ years ago. He experienced substance abuse, could not hold a job, suffered extreme paranoia, and hallucinated about the neighbors trying to do us harm. It took a few months to see real improvement, but it came. 5 years later, he has held a job for 4 years. No longer hallucinates, and is generally pleasant and enjoys life. We suffered for years before we found this place. Highly recommend for those suffering with paranoid personality disorder

Extremely unprofessional to leave your phone lines unattended, especially when your clients have important questions about upcoming appointments. Honestly it's nothing short of irresponsible to hire receptionists who are all too eager to take breaks all the time.

This google review goes to Sabrina Parker for being such an amazing person, I went in with my mother to her therapy session and Sabrina went out of her way to make sure that my mother got a hug and got the chance to introduce herself to me. It always feels amazing when you know that your mother goes around places with good energy and kind hearts, Ashley was also amazing since my mother had to add me in the system so I could attend her therapy session. I believe that this place has great intentions because we all are not perfect Human Beings !

Avita utilizes drug screening for therapeutic purposes only. This should not be a deterrent to seeking treatment.
Walk-ins are welcome at Avita's Gainesville location starting at 7:30am Monday - Friday. Thanks
Avita does have Spanish speaking staff and translation service available as well.
It may require some adjustments to get the medication just right, or a change in medication may be needed. Not every medication and dosage works exactly the same on everyone. The intent is not to make him worse so please encourage him to talk with his prescriber about how he is feeling.
Daniel, not as a routine. We have a Women's Residential Treatment Program with a Medication Assisted Treatment option and provide it there. If someone is in crisis and is admitted to our Crisis Stabilization Unit, we may also provide it during the time they are receiving residential treatment at our facility. We don't provide it on an outpatient basis.
Get him to give you power of attorney
I believe they have group and other drug rehab programs. You would have to inquire about your needs during intake process. Children are welcome with supervision and as along as they don't become a distraction. Good luck, and prayers.
You can go without a referral, they only set up appointments after you go thru their intake process. The hours for walk in to do the intake are from 8am-3pm Monday-thursday. You do your paperwork, wait to see the intake counselor and go from there. Jope this helps, prayers for your recovery.
Yes, they offer a lot of helpful resources too.
U have to go at 730 am and wait to be called. Usually a long wait.
