Mine was really a mixed review.. 1st time I went here, I was denied entry as I didn’t have my ID on me. I therefore missed a meetup that evening at Lavaca. 2nd time I visited, I had an ID but they dont check ID in early afternoon. I got the crawfish tail tacos and fish and chips. The crawfish tacos were amazing but I didnt know they charged $11 for fish and chips making my total bill $36, and that too just lunch, so it felt like a ripoff! Anyways, thats my experience

This place was great. Super friendly service and massive food portions, everything definitelyis bigger in Texas. I really enjoyed the oyster shooters, although a couple of them were fairly sandy. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Crawfish Mac and cheese was the best.

Back in November, I stopped by Lavaca for the second half of the early NFL Sunday slate and the place was packed. Every room had a variety of games on, and the place itself was seemingly never ending with another area behind another area behind another area. All of the games were on except, of course, the one I was interested in, but a bartender was accommodating and turned it on quickly as another game ended. All Staff were super friendly. Drinks were made well; my guest and I both had Moscow mules but all the other drinks looked great. All we had to eat were wings but the nachos and other dishes looked awesome. I will say the wings were a bit expensive, but they were exactly what I look for in bar wings. Would have loved some celery or carrot sticks, or some serving dishes, but the crumbled blue cheese was a nice touch. Overall, great spot to catch any game and enjoy some bar food and drinks.

What do I like about Lavaca, it’s close to my office, it’s a sport bar and you can watch mostly all important sport events there, sounds great :), the food is really good and staff are friendly and take care of you very fast. However, the tables and seats are so close, that means minimum privacy, and tables are sticky and not clean. Other than that, anything else about Lavaca is great.
