This fire department is awesome. I am a part-time brand ambassador for various brands. Recently, I repped Fisher-Price for a promotional event, and they partnered with local firefighters to attract families with kids to the booth. These firefighters in Columbia were AMAZING. They brought out toy helmets for the kids, and they stayed out in the hot sun to bring a smile to the kids' faces. They allowed the kids to get in the fire truck and really took time to communicate with their parents and grand parents which provided a great atmosphere for the event. They even helped us hoist our cumbersome tent which was difficult for just two people to do. Just an overall great experience, and I wanted to compliment them. They seem to be very loved in their community, and I could really see why.

The Fire Department in the City of Columbia is one of the best fire departments in the state of Tennessee and beyond – and that’s backed by a Class 1 ISO rating. With great support from the city manager as well as city council, the Fire Department in Columbia has been able to stay ahead of the curve with technology and equipment to provide stellar service in all measurable categories, constantly improving and enhancing their training, preparation, and tactics for the present and the foreseeable future. One of the most immediately noticeable factors to the success of the City of Columbia’s Fire Department is its stations cleanliness and organization - nothing is ever out of place, and each piece of equipment is always ready and available for use at a moment’s notice. On site, each firefighter is purpose-driven, focused, and professional – all of which is vital to the containment of any emergency situation. And even more, every member of the emergency service staff of the City of Columbia stands out as a professional, compassionate, and dedicated individual. We can all rest easier knowing these men and women have always got us covered when we need it the most!
