Our whole family came to Dr. Ladner‘s office to remove several moles on our face. It is always scary having something like that done, and Tom gave us the best, most detailed explanation of the procedures he would do, and very realistic expectations. It is now two months later, and I cannot say enough about how GREAT everything turned out! I have two teenage daughters, and to know how self-conscious they were about these moles before broke my heart. The other day they commented on how they can’t even see where the moles were!. As a mother, it brings tears to my eyes to see them be so happy and confident! Thank you, Tom, and your entire staff for changing our lives! You are all just great!! If we have any more procedures done, Dr. Ladner‘s office is where we would go!

Very happy with my results. A year ago I had closed Rhinoplasty. The team is incredibly comforting and nice! I highly recommend Dr. Ladner.

I underwent rhinoplasty and sinuplasty in December, 2021. Not only did Dr. Ladner and his staff make me feel safe and comfortable about the procedure beforehand, but they made me feel comfortable about the decision to permanently change my appearance and took time to make sure it was I wanted to do. The time and effort they put in to pre and post-operative care and maintenance has made this life changing procedure enjoyable. Seeing my nose slowly take its new shape gets me more and more excited each day, and Dr. Ladner could not have done a better job. Not only does my nose look better, but for the first time in my 23 year life, I can finally breathe fantastic out of my nose. I've always thought I suffered from severe allergies since I've never been able to breathe out of both nostrils, and hardly one at that. Now, I can finally breathe and my "allergies" have magically disappeared. There is not enough thanks and gratitude I can give to this wonderful office of kind and caring people, other than recommending anyone who is considering any form of reconstructive surgery to at least schedule a consultation and get more information from people who look at you as a person, and not just another patient.

Questions & Answers

How long before my daughter's wedding should I get a facelift so I will be fully healed?

People planning to get a facelift before a special event such as a wedding should plan well in advance of the special day. The initial recovery following facelift surgery is only a few weeks, but I recommend scheduling your surgery at least 3 to 4 months before the wedding date to ensure you're completely healed. Because the best facial plastic surgeons are often booked out for months, you should schedule consultations with that in mind.

What happens if I don't like the results after getting filler injections?

Most fillers used these days are made with a substance called hyaluronic acid. One of the benefits of HA fillers is that unsatisfactory results can be reversed with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase, however, isn't effective for non-hyaluronic acid-based fillers such as Sculptra® Aesthetic and Radiesse®.

How long do the results of a facelift last?

As you might expect, there is no specific answer to your question. A facelift performed by an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon typically will make a patient look like they did 10 years earlier. The aging process continues, of course, so you can expect to look about 10 years younger as the years pass.

How long does it take to recover after rhinoplasty?

Most rhinoplasty patients at our practice can return to work or school about 5 days after the procedure. There will still be swelling and bruising at that point. Bruising around the eyes usually resolves after 10 days, but residual swelling takes longer to dissipate. It takes 2 to 4 months to see the true shape and size of your nose, although it can take up to a year to see the final results.

How old do you have to be to get fillers and botox?

Even though dermal fillers are often thought of as anti-wrinkle treatments, many younger patients are interested in fillers for lip augmentation and facial contouring. The FDA approves dermal fillers for those who are 22 or older, although it is not unusual for those younger than 22 to have dermal filler injections. Patients younger than 18 will need parental consent.
