Worth the stop. We really enjoyed getting to see all the different reptiles. My daughter's and wife were quite fond of the tortoises. I loved the plants and Gators. The emus were really fun too. If you're considering coming here do yourself a favor and do it. You won't be disappointed.

Cool place to see gators and get to hold one! Lots of different animals to look at. Everybody loved the tortoises that are just returning signs to feed and pet. The property could use some sprucing up a bit, lots of random junk around. Overall we are glad we stopped by while traveling to Alimosa.

We loved this place! We were greeted by such friendly tortoises who loved the lettuce and the petting. Then to the snakes, monitors, etc, then over to the tilapia tanks where we tossed our handful of feed and watched them resembling more like piranha in the feeding. Then over to the alligators, crocodiles and more. I highly encourage all to go and support this wonderful venture. Review written by the writer of Last of the Knowers.

You would think the only good gator parks in the US would be in Florida, but not the case at all! Our family visited a great Gator park in Florida two years ago and had a blast, BUT, this park here in our home state of Colorado DEFINITELY measured up, and was actually MORE interactive than the one we visited in Florida. We stopped by this park on our way home from our Spring Break vacation in Pagosa Springs. My kids were fascinated and thrilled by the opportunity to hold a variety of snakes, feed tortoises, and take a picture with a baby alligator. Of course, there were PLENTY of adult size gators of all sizes and ages that we got to see and even feed as well. The bucket of food for the gators is only a couple of dollars, but you can get one for free by bringing in a coupon found in a brochure at nearby hotels. The staff knows what they are talking about and went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure our family had a truly interactive and enjoyable experience! As a child of the 90's it was a major thrill for me to see the famous gator featured in Happy Gilmore. His name is Morris, and he has his OWN large enclosure where he can roam freely and enjoy his retirement from decades in film and TV industry. Again, a GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Although this is a cool experience, I would choose something more fun. There is Hooper hot springs swimming pool, or if you have time you can surf the sand dunes. All three locations are close together and can be seen in a day.
Everyone has the opportunity to pet and hold a little alligator and there are tortoises you can pet and sometimes feed. If there is not already a snake and /or lizard out to pet just ask and they will get one out for you.
We just walked in. If you buy a t-shirt you can save $ on the entrance fee.
Yes I would say an hour and a half average. Depends on how old everyone in your party is and how busy it is. Weekdays evening before close was basically empty and we had tour guides to ourselves. Sunday morning was crowded.
They sell shirts, hats, baby gator teeth, sodas, bottled water, and a few other, non-gator related things.
You do get to hold a baby alligator and they take your photo and then give you a little certificate of bravery LOL
We will be open 9am - 6pm daily.
We are currently open 9am - 5pm daily. We are leaving masks up to each individual group.
Gator Fest is typically the 1st weekend in August. We have had Super Heros and Super Villains as themes, but the theme is different every year. Last year was Roarin' 20's, this years theme has yet to be determined. Keep an eye on our Colorado Gator Farm Facebook page for the most up to date information on upcoming events.
When I was there recently, they had a sign for it in front of a pit with no water. I assumed it was intended as ironic humor. Some of the people working there had a really good sense of humor.
They'll take a picture with your phone for free (after the cost of admission of course), but to get then to print a picture for you was $15-25 if I remember correctly
🐊I go on free days🐲 and buy a t-shirt or a hat ⁉️then I get in for free for a lifetime if I wear one or the other 👍‼️🐊
Ages 5 and under and 80 and over are free, Kids ages 6-15 and Seniors age 65-79 are $10 each, Adults ages 16-64 are $20 each
Adults age 16-64 are $20 each, kids age 6-15 and seniors age 65 and over are $10 each, kids 5 and under are free. On the 20th we will be open 10 am - 4 pm. The entire tour is open year round, and gator wrestling classes are available year round, but need to be scheduled in advance.
A half day. Never seen anyone leave that event without an ear to ear smile. Life changing for some.
You can get discount tickets along the highway on the way there. They are about $18 - $20
Unsure lots of snakes, didn't look to see if they were named
The next free day will September 29th. If you follow us on Facebook you can keep up to date on the Free Days and other events!
Yes they are always looking for more food for the Gators!
You will probably get a better answer by contacting the park directly.
You can also get a coupon for 20 percent off admission if you go to Colorado Gators website.
