I have always loved the Potato Barn. I have witnessed their evolution from the original location. While I have not had the pleasure of indulging in the music and festivities, I have had the displeasure of watching affordable chic design furniture evolve into overpriced and underwhelming same design furniture. I have several pieces from here maybe I should be happy that my hutch is now 1200 more than I paid for it.

**NO LONGER ACCEPT AMEX!!!!!** My husband and I spent a little over an hour and half walking around this store. We found 3 pieces of furniture to purchase. (With tax & delivery cost would be a little over $12,000). However, when we got to the counter to pay we saw a little sign stating “We no longer accept AMEX.” Well, that’s all we have. The sales person makes a call and then tells us “you can go to the bank and get cash.” ((This was around 4:00pm on a SATURDAY!!)) We were refused the sale and walked out completely disappointed, angry, and frustrated! A smart business would not turn down customers because they had a dispute with a credit card company months ago. Also, a smart business would turn away customers at the FRONT of the store (posting THEY DON’T ACCEPT AMEX) so customers don’t waste time in this store like we did!!
