Great selection and the staff is eager to help. It is a little pricey however, I had been shopping at Trader Joe Wine Shoppe until a Union Busting move closed their doors a few weeks ago.

Just encountered a rude clerk who obviously does not care about customers. I have been shopping here for years and order a case or two every month. Always delivered. The check-out clerk said as I was paying "Would you like to leave a gratuity here or when it is delivered?" This is a first for this store When I asked if the gratuity was mandatory, she was silent. Whereas I would like to support the delivery people and if ask if I would like to leave a gratuity rather than where I would leave a gratuity, I would have given one. As it is, I left angry and no one got a gratuity. Forcing people to tip is not good strategy. Asking people if they would LIKE to show their appreciation is the usually and savvy way to proceed.

Price charged at checkout is 3x the price on the label. The staff refused to update the label outright. Beware of the scams at this store.

I was a loyal customer for well over a decade, thousands of dollars of purchases — always took advantage of their great case discounts, and made sure we ordered enough to make their delivery worthwhile. Sometimes 3-4 cases at a time. Recommended to everyone who would listen. Just found out the new management nixed the case discount completely because they, as I was told, priced every bottle in the store fairly instead. Unfortunately, their 'fair' price is much higher than many other shops in the city which appreciate large orders. Taking my business elsewhere. To the managers reply - the standard case discount was 20% and while it’s true that I looked forward to the sales, I ordered plenty without the sale over the years. Many stores deliver to Brooklyn for free, especially for orders that are over $100. Nevermind that putting BROOKLYN in all caps as if going across the river is a major step down is so … 1994 😂 While we are all caught in a stagnant economy, at least a courtesy email to loyal customers would have been nice. And despite your assertion about pricing, no I’m sorry, I actually did my research and at least in the price range I shop, USQ is inflated over a number of other shops in the city. The review stands and I wish you luck competing in this crowded space with little to offer by way of incentives.
