This is a lower end, no frills, public access course, so know that going in. Terrain is pretty flat, so it is easily walkable. Pros: Greens fees are reasonable, senior rates kick in at age 55. Plenty of interesting hole layouts, and course presents a fair, decent challenge. Greens were in decent shape and putted true, if a bit slow. They have a driving range and practice green. Staff was friendly when I was there. Cons: As others have mentioned, tees and fairways tend to be rock hard. Lots of crabgrass, and often hard to differentiate between the fairway and rough. I lost 2 balls that were in the fairway crabgrass. Flat terrain makes it less visually interesting compared to most courses. I would play it again because it is rather close to me, but it would not be my first choice. If they improved the conditions, I could give it another 1/2 star.

The course needs some work- dead parts of fairway/crab grass and tees are rock hard. You’ll want to play winter rules. But layout is nice and a number of good holes. It’s a classic no frills Midwest course. If you go into it knowing what to expect, you should have fun
