The Basil Leaf Café

We were visiting from Manhattan and saw The Basil Leaf was one of the few places open till 10 pm, as it was close to 8 and most places closed at 9, we decide it would be a good choice and the menu looked delicious. We walked in about 8:15 and waited to be seated at the hostess stand for about 5 mins before we were told that someone was having a bad day so they were not seating any more walk ins. No where does the website say reservations only or reservations preferred. Moreover, the website said there were no reservations passed 8pm. I wish our experience was different and I don't think we will try again.

Presentation was amazing and the tiramisu was good. The waitress did a decent job The chef did not the lasagna was too salty we had send it back and they did not take it off of the bill the price for the quality and service did not match not impressed will not return

A cozy lovely restaurant. We had reservations, they fill up fast I was told and I could see while we were there, they were quite busy. The food was delicious and plentiful, a bit different than the typical Italian fare, probably more authentic. I would definitely eat there again.

The basil leaf is wonderful. We had amazing service & delicious food here in a cozy, intimate environment. I had the Mac & cheese, the meatball appetizer and a Caesar salad for dinner, followed by tiramisu & cheesecake both for dessert. All were scrumptious! Definitely come and try their food.
