We have been going here for years and they are always friendly and provide a good fun family atmosphere! Absolutely love the team who has been keeping this tradition alive for decades. 2021 - looks like they updated the playground area.

We take the kids here every year and always have a great time, best pumpkin patch in Douglas County! They have large fields of pumpkins where you can go pick them off the vine and they are consistently good quality. The grounds are very well kept and their staff is very friendly. Lots of things for the kids to do like a hay bail maze, tractor rides, playground equipment and livestock to see. I would recommend Schakkes to anyone and everyone!

My new favorite pumpkin patch! I've never bought so many pumpkins in my life! My husband was thrilled... hehe!! Life felt normal for a little bit while we were at Schaake's. Our son loved the farm animals and running around the patch searching for a pumpkin. I'm used to having a hard time finding the perfect pumpkin... but here there were so many to choose, I couldn't decide which one(or ten) I wanted!! We will be back next year, and many after, for sure!

The weather and conditions were perfect. Unfortunately October 19th is too late for good pumpkin picking. Plan on going earlier in the month. Great family farm good for children of all ages.

It was .55 cent per pound
They have more than just orange pumpkins. When I was there there two weeks ago, there were not only orange pumpkins but also red, yellow, white and blue. Of the orange ones, there were still some that were green so I'm assuming they are still viable and not all rotted. There was a few that I saw in the field that had started to rot, but the vast majority of them were good.
I have seen outside pet dogs
Its 50cents a pound you go pick them out and they weigh them before you leave
Yes
Yes all month including sun they will be open
Some of them are, but you can also go into the patch and pick from the vine.
While their website does not specifically state whether dogs are allowed, we go there every year and always see at least one dog, so they appear to be pet-friendly.
