Update to my review: My elderly parents moved from California back to the SLC area and needed to stop on there way. They made the unfortunate decision to stay at this Super 8 Hotel. My Mom, who is 85 yrs old had a medical emergency while at the hotel, she ended up going to the local hospital. The issues we had this time were with room charges and billing. My nephew offered to pay for the room, his card was charged for the night. My parents stayed a second night so my Mom could rest. My Dad spoke with the manager, and paid for a sheet that went to the hospital with my Mom. He also gave housekeeping $20.00 as there was extra cleaning to do. When my Dad received his credit card bill, he was billed for 2 nights and also had a $80.00 charge we were not aware of. When he checked in he said he had pets. When I called the hotel directly to straighten out the billing, I told the manager we had been charged for 3 nights between my Dad and nephew’s cards and had an additional $80.00 charge. The manager explained the 80.00 was for linen, mind you my father had paid cash for the sheet that went to the hospital and gave housekeeping $20.00. He then said he would credit my nephew’s card $70.00, but the other $50.00 was for an undisclosed pet fee! This hotel really truly needs help. I will never stay here under any circumstances or recommend this hotel. I changed the star rating as well, I was being generous giving them 2 stars after my stay in June. We stayed for 3 nights while in Beaver attending a family reunion. This is definitely an economy hotel. This hotel is old, the carpets are old, the front desk is not manned at all times. If you need assistance you pick up a phone and call for assistance. We checked in on a Thursday night, the next afternoon upon returning to our room the door keys did not work, we had to get new keys, the desk clerk said they deactivated because it was after 11am. I informed him we would not be checking out until Sunday and asked if they would work until then, he replied in the affirmative and they did work until we left. The fridge in the room worked very well and there was a microwave also. I give them credit for clean linens and towels. The room was clean, it just needs an update big time. When they say limited breakfast, they mean limited. They offered cold cereal, waffles, package cinnamon rolls, and fruit. I struggled with giving them 2 or 3 stars, really it is closer to a 2. In a pinch I would think about staying there. Sorry no photo, I usually find myself taking pics of our rooms when they are pretty, cool or something we like, this was not, lol.

We got keys to a room that had a strong urine smell, asked for different room and when entering was hit with the same strong urine smell as next door! Also second room was already occupied! We cancelled and couldn’t get out of there fast enough!!

Adequate cleanliness. Towels did not appear to be clean. Bathroom was noisy, annoying. Breakfast bar nothing to brag about. Front desk was not staffed during breakfast time. When I used the desk phone to tell the staff that the coffee was almost empty, the response was less than enthusiastic. Probably will look for alternative motel next time I am passing through the area.

I asked for a non-smoking room but there were cigarette burns all over the carpet and it had a strong smell of smoke with a strong floral smell. The room seemed relatively clean but for sure everything is pretty run down. For example, the armchair’s upholstery was pulled out and falling off. No light at the sink. AC worked well. Bed was fine. You can hear everything in the hallway as there was 1 inch gap between the door and floor. Had to use a towel to muffle the noise so my dogs wouldn’t bark every time someone slammed a door. South side entrance does not lock. It is very rundown. Ultimately it works for one night but as a solo female traveler I probably won’t stay here again. After this experience, I prefer La Quinta Inn for pet-friendly stays.
