The hallways were dirty as were the bathrooms. A foul odor was present on every floor that I was unfortunate enough to have to be on. This bldg. (Myers Tower) also houses elderly and handicapped individuals through housing. If you take the time to speak with the residents they will tell you that they are treated poorly by staff. One resident relayed a story to me in which he was told"get to your room, I don't want to look at you anymore" . When questioned as to why no one complains they are all terrified of being evicted because for most this is the last option before a care facility (nursing home). Roaches and bed bugs are an epidemic here also. Some of our most vulnerable people are living here and being treated so poorly and yet being threatened with eviction if they dare voice a complaint.
