I don’t come here often but over the years of visiting them, I’ve learned a few things. 1. Can’t beat the thrift by the pound price. From mall brands to occasional score of higher valued items to the lucky vintage/trendy stuff..depends on the day. 2. You can get a cart but you gotta come early, most of the carts will be hogged by daily shoppers (yes the ladies with the sacks). But hey it’s New York, we are all just hustling. Everyone gets to play here. 3. The employees can be a little over the top at times with the yelling and scolding, but they don’t typically mean any harm. They are dealing with America’s rejects all day - and we have tonnes of them! Still a little mutual respect is highly desired in any setting. Treat an adult like an adult, it goes a long way. There is at times no need to ruin a shopper’s mood or day by making a scene of them. Just approach them and say ‘hey, we can’t have this push cart on the aisle, it blocks mobility. Feel free to park it by the side.’ As opposed to ‘HEYYYYY, STOP. You can’t bring that there. It’s not allowed. Move it RIGHT NOW.’ It’s just unnerving for anyone to have that kind of privilege of nasty speech these days. 4. I can never find the other shoe! Why is it that only the good shoes are missing their significant other?! Maybe they could clear out the bins with the older shoe inventory more often. There’s 3-4 shoe bins that are kept just to throw the new rejects on top of. You end up having to dig constantly in those, perhaps creating even more non pairs in the process. Not an efficient way to make merchandise move. 5. The wait for new bins can take a long while at times and you end up waiting and being scolded at that often. Again the ‘not allowed’ lingo that the employees use often could be reviewed. You feel like cattle being herded. No one in todays day and age wants to be spoken to that way. 6. I’ve never stayed open to close before but safe to say they roll out new bins about 6+ times per day. 7. I do notice that the new bins get hauled away quite fast sometimes. Since the daily shopping ladies amass loads of items first and then sort on the sides, they will put back what they don’t want after a while and you can go sort then, but often the staff is out already to get the bins back inside. A little bit of missed opportunity shopping, I would say. Overall, it’s a great place to find bargain deals and the employees are trying their best and just learning from each other. So their way to handle their business and how they treat their paying customers is coming from somewhere. I will say that there are more respectful shoppers than any boisterous problematic ones, and it will be nice to see more nicer treatment in future. We are all NYC residents. We get it. It’s rough out here, but it’s also amazing!

Many things but you have to go early and with patience

They do not have a time limit of how long you can stay in the store. Slot of women stay the whole day.
No old ladies, other groups of people who have fives carts betweenl them rush grab everything they can sort tgrough it after. Not fair for everyone else.sunday mornings are good. Every two hours they bring out new buns full. Items are priced by the pound. Housewares are great 39 cents a pound includes lamps, wall hangings, picture frames, toys, dishes, pots and pans. You can find a lot of new items. Its great. Get a rewards card, you get points on everything you by for credit on your next trip.
Yes. There are security guards Nothing to fear
They also have things behind the counter that they mark at a certain price - usually overpriced but you can find deals.
If u purchase 50 plus is 1.69 a pound. Less than 50 is more from 1.79 and so on. The shoes are the same and purses and bookbags etc. Books are 3 for 1.00 somedays 5.for 1.00 and glass wear and anything like home deco is .39cents a pound
No but it is tax deductible
Yes
Definitely will take books! You have to drop them off.
They dont.
If you reach there by the start of the week I am sure you can find some good pieces.
When you are at the cashier make a left, only one for both, men and women
Do they have parking g
Price per pound right now is $2.29.
they do have books and board games but I would be afraid of missing pieces
yes it is bring own big bag
I think on Monday early, they open at 8:00 o'clock
No donations only
they sometimes have jerseys. you'd have to be lucky ..but have an open mind and think positive.
I think they accept donations evry day they're open ..call to check tho
More textile.

Yes we are but 5 bags per person
No. Wear clothing that you can easily try things on over.
Free Parking can be difficult most days at peak times. There is a paid parking garage around the block but usually I can find street parking about a block or two away. Sometimes you'll see people parking on the sidewalk. Smh. I don't recommend that. It is usually easier finding parking around 5pm but then they close soon afterward
The outlet in Hamden CT has furniture. It's a drive but there are many thrift stores in the area so you can make a day of it.
You may have to leave on side of room. unless its really small.
No, and we only accept computers that are working and factory-reset. You might try Per Scholas.
We accept professional books that are in good condition and up to date. Textbooks must be no more than two years old, not marked up and in good condition.
Goodwill does not have owners. We are a nonprofit organization. Merchandise coming to the outlet store and sold by the pound was first offered in our regular stores and sold by the piece, but there are still many quality items to be found. Grace, sorry to hear you feel that way. I will pass on your complaint.
Sorry, Goodwill no longer accepts furniture, but thank you for thinking of us.
This is something Google put up that we can't get down. We are open with regular hours.
The outlet store brings out fresh produce every day throughout the day.
Anytime is always a chaotic scene here especially when they restock so just be ready to shove people and make your face intimidating so theyll back off instead of you. Haha
The gift card would not be covered in purchasing the book. It should go to Goodwill's development department, which participates in a gift card reimbursement program.
Yes
There are a lot of goodwill branch at the city that you can always go to but if you want this store, take the 7 train going to Queens then get off at 33rd St. or google it. lol
There is parking on the street, but no parking lot.
Its more likely to be found at one of our regular stores than the outlet, but you can call and ask at 718-392-0125 whether they ever get it in.
Yes, all of them appear, but the clothes are mixed, you have to classify yourself ...
Goodwill does not buy items or give in-store credits for them. We do provide a tax receipt. We can only take personal printers that are in good condition, working and with the cables included.
No, but we do provide a tax receipt for donations.
Just to be clear, there are no returns at the outlet because the clothes are sold by the pound.
No
U will have to call good will for that info sorry.
yes
7 train and yes they take donations and no furniture
You can drop off at this location is in the border line of bk and queens.
Yes 👍

They take the furniture either they are old or new, they will come up for pickup. Even you can call the pawn shops.
