Great brewery featuring a wide selection of different types and styles of beers. The staff was friendly and overall good atmosphere and vibe. They are dog friendly as well.

Super devastated by our experience tonight. We made reservations early afternoon for our family. We did 2 reservations for 10 not realizing there was a different way of reserving for parties over 10. We showed up at 6p to celebrate our child's birthday. We have celebrated there for many occasions as we have always loved this place, the beer, and the service. When we arrived, the outdoor patio was completely empty and stayed that way until closing. To be sure it was okay, we asked employees inside if it was okay for us to set up tables for our reservation (3) and specifically asked if it mattered where we set up. We were told that our party wasn't registered due to the way I booked and I apologized and stated this was how I have always booked but the bartender was super kind and stated it was no problem but the seating would be first come first serve. We set up 3 tables and had balloons for our son's birthday. We ordered drinks, were having a nice time, and about an hour in, a woman who identified herself as the owner came out to tell us that we had to condense our party to 2 tables since we did not book appropriately. I would have understood if the place was busy but it was literally empty. She also stated that it was an issue that we were all sitting together since I made 2 reservations, we would have to sit separately. Nothing made sense - it was absolutely empty. She stated that parties had an additional fee because of the service provided but that also made no sense as we ordered our drinks ourselves and cleaned up after ourselves. She stated that we had to hit a $150 min on drinks (which we did anyway) but once again, we were the only people there so nothing made sense. I was upset and expressed this and she stated, I'm the owner and I can make the rules. I totally agree with this but I did state that we, also had the right as customers to not return and to write a review. Long story short, we had children with us and we are not sure if that was the issue but they advertise welcoming children and well-behaved dogs. She concluded with stating "would you treat another owner like this" and we aren't even sure what she meant. I do want to emphasize that the bartending staff and I believe, her husband (co-owner?) were very nice, the beer was great, and the atmosphere was nice, but her treatment and handling of this was really hurtful and upsetting to a local family who has supported this business for many years. Pictures of empty patio to follow. We, and our large family, will not ever be returning here, sadly. We just want to warn others, especially those with children, that this may not be a welcome place.

Me and my partner visited this place and we loved it. The drinks we tried were all amazing and the staff, Jordan and Wayne were really polite and easy to talk to. Would 100% go again if we visit the beautiful town of Montclair.

Excellent selection of draft beer. Nice casual hangout. Will try more before potentially increasing the rating. Nothing to complain, recommended.
