A really great and helpful place. The surgeons are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and polite. I spoke with several of them before deciding what I felt was best for me. Seven weeks after surgery, I am totally back to normal, and feeling better than I have in years. As per my request, Dr. Novitsky did a non mesh (Shouldice) surgery to repair the hernia.

Questions & Answers

Hi my husband has pain on his right side and it appears that he may have an inguinal hernia. However the MRI and cat scans is negative. He is experiencing jolt like pain when he moves and sometimes without moving. Can a hernia sometimes not show up?

Hi, we're sorry to hear your husband is having pain. In general, there is always a possiblity that a scan may not detect an abnormality. If you still have concerns, collecting a copy of the scans and getting a second opinion may be helpful.

I have to have a colonoscopy, but I have a hernia, how safe would the procedure be?
