The coveted , revered authority: Dr Horowitz. While knowledgable - in that he can regurgitate information on tick-borne illnesses - he is condescending and patronizing with a poor bedside manner. One visit he'll cheery and talkative, while the next visit he'll be accusatory and negative. He conveys how sick you are and makes recovering from lyme sound like an impossible feat, perpetuating the fear and isolation lyme patients bear. He is subjective and emboldened in his approach and resolutely determined to prove babesia is invariably the culprit. That said, he takes a comprehensive approach with allopathic and integrative medicine, where he's aggressive in treatment but also supports the body. There's no question Dr. Horowitz is a pioneer in conquering tick-borne illnesses and is constantly investigating and personally exploring new potential treatments. He has helped many and should be applauded for for his work.

Dr Horowitz has been our doctor for 30 years even before just treating chronic tick disease illnesses. He is one of the world's authorities, author of two books and many medical research papers. He trains other health care providers in his techniques and speaks and lectures widely and the Centers LPN is a marvel.

Probably one of the best chronic lyme docs you can find out there. Thanks for everything

Questions & Answers

I understand that the treatment protocol is expensive. Does insurance cover the treatment? If not, how do patients cover the costs? Thanks

No decent LLMD takes insurance any more. Insurance exercises too much control over treatment. Not in patient's best interest

How can Sydenham's Chorea be distinguished from Lyme or other tick vector infections? My daughter scored 48 on the MSID Questionnaire, but there is so much overlap.

What is used to diagnose Sydenham's Chorea? Is it an ASO, supported by a list of symptoms? Doesn't that also look like PANDAS? You are right! There is so much overlap! But mainstream medicine rules out Lyme disease by default, this practice is unethical and can lead you down an incorrect treatment path. Mainstream medicine currently follows severely inaccurate and outdated guidelines for Lyme disease. The field of medicine is riddled with arrogant and ignorant doctors that have extremely narrow views which prevents them from keeping up with the current science and peer-reviewed research and evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease. It's a controversial disease bordering on conspiracy!! You must see a Lyme specialist!! A Lyme specialist will acknowledge every possible diagnosis and determine the real root cause. Unfortunately, a Lyme specialist often falls out of insurance policies because they are passionate enough to treat the abandoned sick. Please see a specialist!!!
