I did not write that comment, someone is playing a cruel joke, I would never say anything cruel about the NYRP, love everything Bette has done for New York, now I will post this also, I love Bette, would love to help her.

For many years my father was a donor to this organization. After he passed in August 2020, I managed his affairs as the executor of his estate. For two years I tried to get the New York Restoration Project to remove out family’s name from their mailing list - a seemingly modest request. But, despite my best efforts, (by phone, email and snail mail (to both of their mailing addresses), the solicitations just keep coming. Despite my father’s membership and history of charitable giving to the NYRP, no courtesy or service was extended to our family. I propose that for some organizations, money trumps loyalty and dignity. Since there are a great many reputable and responsible 501C-3s in NYC, when you are organizing and planning your charitable giving, I advise that you seek out an organization of greater administrative capacity. Support those which show more courtesy to their donors than the New York Restoration Project. Disgusted, WPH III

GreenThumb is part of the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation. At NYRP, we are a private non-profit, which includes ownership of 52 community gardens in a land trust. NYRP and GreenThumb are close partners and work collaboratively in open spaces throughout the city. We share a common goal of supporting public access to green space citywide.
