After having fantastic experiences with multiple glasses retailers, I compared them with my awful experience with Absolute Eyecare two years ago. The people at this store are predatory. I was in my late teens when I purchased glasses from here. I was a novice in the world of glasses. I had multiple errors (no fault of mine) made by the greedy customer service and had to keep getting them updated. THEY MADE ME PAY EACH TIME. Now I know that it’s practice for glasses stores not to charge for replacements unless there are additional features. They took over $1000 from a TEENAGER when the original price of the lenses and glasses was no more than $300. The blonde white girl who refers to black people as “ragamuffins” is vile and the main scammer. The rest of the people behind the counter are insidious. It’s crazy how rude and nasty these prevaricators getting commissions from purchases can be. A whole lot of grown-ups with no scruples. Pathetic.

I would not recommend this provider. I have one vision exam covered every year by my vision insurance. Despite sending the provider my vision insurance information, they billed my general health insurance which is stiffing me with a bill for over $100. All because of a clerical error — now taking months to resolve — thanks to Absolute Eye Care. Even if you have vision insurance, I would choose a provider with a better quality of service otherwise you are going to be dealing with a headache for months to come.

Worst service ever. Don’t bother

Dr Onyenekwu is fantastic quick and efficient, and the receptionist is doing her best. But the office staff is disorganized and pushy. I always make an appointment but those times are not respected - patients are seen in the order signed in on the clipboard. Today I waited two hours, and the doctor wasn't even present! Another doctor was on video call but nobody told me at any point. The glasses sales people upsell aggressively on their very expensive product, especially the lighter woman with dyed dark hair, and they gossip about patients who are still in the room. They encourage purchasing on layaway and “minimum” contact orders but then will refuse to give you details or your prescription so that you can’t take it elsewhere or compare prices. They “lost” my contact prescription when I called for it (later found, but I believe it was deliberate so I’d buy their markup). When I did order through them they made clerical errors leading to receiving the wrong prescription- it wasn’t caught until I complained weeks later that anyone bothered to double check against the doctors notes. When I have raised complaints they tell me that it never happened. I have been seeing this doctor for several years, but no wonder the customer service has not improved.
