I have diabetes, and I'm wondering if there's a way to prevent developing diabetic retinopathy?

Even though people who have their diabetes fully under control can still develop retinopathy. Maintaining an even blood sugar level and keeping high blood pressure controlled can lower your risk for retinal damage. It's essential to have regular eye exams so that your eye doctor can detect any damage to the retina at the earliest stage possible and begin treating it.

I'm working from home and the glare of my screen bothers my eyes. I didn't have this issue at the office. Is there something I can do?

This is an issue that many people are experiencing right now. Reducing glare at your home office involves ensuring your computer isn't positioned next to windows where bright light enters. Overhead lights can also be a problem. If your space is limited and you can't adjust your workstation, reduce the incoming light with curtains or blinds. If possible, change the angle of your desk. An anti-glare monitor is another solution if you can afford the cost.
