Despite you voting nay for the s3419 bill that would allow adoptees like me to obtain my original copy of my birth certificate, we still won the Senate vote making history on June 3. Cannot fathom why you would vote against access to a document with my name on it that I'm entitled to know every aspect of. This law that you tried to keep was based on an era where things were completely different than they are today and it's about time for the laws to catch up with the times of today's. The excuses of protecting the birth Parents don't out weigh the lack of information the adoptee has to maintain their health and I pretty sure the birth Parents health has changed in the last 40 years and I need to be aware of this. I was fortunate enough to have been found by a full blooded sister 1 year and a half ago but guess what? She's adopted too!! 5 years after I was given up, she was born and given up by the same people!! And their are possible other siblings. So unless you had a child out of wedlock and you don't want your skeletons to come out of your closet, I ask why nay?

If somebody assualts my pregnant wife resulting in a miscarriage, the unborn child is not considered in prosecutions at all. How can I respect this?

The polititians do their dirty work in the first weeks of their terms, hoping the electorate will forget by the next election. This vote is something that I predict voters will not forget.
