Parking is limited during commutes and the parking lot is difficult to enter and exit due to poorly designed traffic flows through the village. Parking trouble is exacerbated by the workers leaving their vehicle in the traffic lane rather than using their reserved space 20 feet away. Local drug abusers use the shelters on the platforms to practice their art and I've found used needles in the parking lot. Rumor is that the LIRR uses this line to train new engineers, so trains stop in a different place each day even though there are signs indicating where they should. SCPD enforces inspection and registration expiration in the lot, so park facing in (they won't get out of their car to do their job, so this makes you and the drug abusers safe).

Grew up in KP and I can tell you its safe and clean at the LIRR station. the only complaint i have is we dont get as many off peak scheduled like say in other towns like Huntington.
