Helped a neighbor for years going to this place they dragged him around made him get one week of medicine at a time they recruited him out of a rehab from St Charles hospital apparently the man who works there or worked there previously owns this which again totally unprofessional promoting a place for people who are already in a bad place mentally and physically for the most part stay away if you want real help and real results just legal drug pushers check out a regular doctor who can treat you personally also check out other options like the Masimo ear bridge ect save yourself the time and aggravation…

*Update* After reaching the director, I cannot help but be thoroughly impressed and grateful that I reached someone with a heart. I think that Victory is a place that can help people provided that your case is relatively simple. People can find help.... its just not the same place it once was. However there is an amazing, kind and empathetic Lady named Dawn behind the scenes, and on this day I am grateful for her and her efforts. I will revisit this review when not in a moving vehicle and feeling better, but I'm keeping it honest. Dawn gets 5 stars though.** *Update* After emailing the email address provided in the reply section of this review section, I received what I had been promised for a month, a return call. Some effort may be underway to help, however this comes extremely late, and is still being deliberated apparently. I will update this when I receive an update. Victory began as a great place to go. I hope that they can go back to putting patients first. In their rapid expansion, they became more cooperate.. and it seems for now that the business end outweighs what should be a medical dedication above all else. ** Heartless administrators, a juggled array of incompetent npa's, and a company first, patient be damned during a pandemic attitude. I know of people discharged through telemedicine during Covid-19, who hadn't abused their meds or violated any tenet of the agreement. Staff that doesn't return calls. Pencils pushers in positions of power over Dr.'s. Meetings that are little more than a meat market. A poor clinical environment. Staff that tells you that you are in network yet uses out of network labs resulting in Bill's as high as 1580.00 usd for a test. An atmosphere that discourages progress and encourages people to rely on the system. A medicaid mill. Several very kind, compassionate Dr.s there so it is truly a shame that ambition and rapid expansion has gotten in the way of what was once a place where one saw the same Dr. and felt cared for. Finally, m.a.t. with suboxone has a far worse withdrawal profile than pain killers such as hydrocodone. People taking hydrocodone are being up-medicated by being placed on m.a.t. with suboxone. The discontinuation syndrome from suboxone is nearly as severe as methadone, and far longer lasting than something such as hydo/oxycodone. In fact, from a Pharmalogical standpoint, buprenorphine has both a greater mu opioid receptor fixation half life than morphine (approximately 45 minutes as compared to seconds for morphine, ) a far longer half life and lipid solubility, and is irreversible in an overdose situation. The naloxone in it , which differentiates it from the subutex used elsewhere in the world is a product of politics. The Binding Affinity of buprenorphine is so strong that naloxone will not dislodge fixated buprenorphine from receptor sites, meaning that it can be abused via insufflation, injection, and more frighteningly should your child or someone who is opioid naive get ahold of it the only recourse for an overdose is life support. Should you ever end up in a situation where you require surgery, or perhaps get horribly injured, pain relief will be nearly impossible unless you have an incredibly knowledgeable doctor who knows which very specific and esoteric medications can overcome Suboxone. Most disturbingly they do not feel a need when discharging a patient to taper them down safely. Suboxone is a drug that is so strong that it can kill opioid naive people. Dosage as prescribed to those who are dependent on painkillers are elevated, leaving people hooked in a way they had never imagined. This level of addiction is iatrogenically generated, meaning the product of treatment, therefore leaving them ethically obligated to taper a person down upon discharge. They don't do that at Victory. Money seems to be their most important motivating factor.

Questions & Answers

Hello, I have a question to ask. If i am allergic to suboxone, can i be given subutex instead.?

A visit can be scheduled to determine if you are having a true allergic reaction or one of the common side effects associated with Suboxone films or tablets. In general, true allergic reactions to Suboxone are rare. Some formulations however are not tolerated as well as others and this is where your provider can come up with the best options for you.

How do we go about treatment for 51-yr-old man, just returning from 4 yrs in Costa Rica, indigent, no employment, etc.

VRP staff can screen this patient over the phone and determine what would need to be in place prior to treatment services. Medicaid is accepted at our location as well as all other commercial insurances and managed Medicaid plans. Cash rates for uninsured are low to accommodate those in need of treatment services.
