I highly recommend Gulf Marine Yachtworks to anyone. We had both V-P saildrives replaced recently along with a complete bottom job and several other items repaired or replaced. The crew there, from top to bottom, were outstanding. Communication (key!) was top-notch, quality of work was perfect and the cost was honest and fair. They did not exceed their estimate. A shout out to Gulf Marine Yacht Works located in Fort Myers Beach, FL. After an unfortunate grounding we had Compass Rose (Mainship 400) hauled out and inspected by the professional folks at Gulf Marine Yacht Works. Not knowing who to call, I just selected them from reading about them on the internet. We could not have been more pleased with their service and attention to detail Their staff worked as a team to inspect and service our needs. We had the prop removed, scanned and dynamically balanced, the shaft dialed in, a new cutlass bearing installed, and touch up paint feathered and applied to the bare newly scuffed surfaces. We were back in the water after a day and half being blocked up. Their speed of service and their fair pricing was only matched by their desire to please the client and get us on our way along the Great Loop.
