Holiday Inn Express Boston - Quincy, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here four days while visiting Boston and had a wonderful experience! A 5 minute walk from the T. Rooms were clean and modern. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Hotel was quiet and safe. The continental breakfast was standard. Gym was nice and had all the equipment needed for a workout! If you want to visit Boston but avoid the downtown hotel prices, this is a great option!

Pros: gym is decent; they had free weight dumbbells. Quiet. Clean. Breakfast was hot and what you’d expect from a continental breakfast. Most staff were pleasant; Except for a maintenance guy who seemed upset with life or racist toward white people. I liked the shower amenities (soaps and stuff) Cons: room cause horrible allergies. AC was unusually loud and squeaky; it also would cool the room off well BUT would wait until it got way too hot to kick back on. There was a smoke detector on the ceiling that had a green light that would flash every 10 seconds. So we had a slow strobe light all night that you’d see light up the entire room. Night staff was nice, but the day staff were rude and outright horrible to guests. CAUTION: The showers floor was SO slippery that you will fall if you’re not ready or can’t catch yourself well. Be careful old folks. They didn’t even let me borrow an umbrella to walk to the gas station. 1. I’m sure there were some in the lost and found. 2. It should be a basic amenity for a walkable area hotel.

Great location near the T for getting into Boston easily, plus there are some good restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful hotel, everything is very new, room was big and comfortable. Only downside was the breakfast, good stuff but they ran out of a bunch of things on our last morning here.

This place double charged me, and Nicole at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful when I asked for assistance getting this taken care of.
