My parents went to the outdoor sportsman show Harrisburg, Pa this year. My parents went there and saw The Black Bear Outfitters booth. They decided to book a week at black bear outfitters with a written receipt and agreement that they could send a deposit in a couple of weeks and call them when they were ready to send the deposit. Stepdad bought a Maine license and permit. Then my parents called Black Bear outfitters to tell them they were sending the deposit. During this phone call, Black bear outfitters told my parents they gave their week they promised them without prior knowledge. Black Bear outfitters had my parents contact information they could have decency to call to confirm before doing giving their week away. This left my stepdad on the hook for a bear license and permit that cost 200 dollars he will not use. My stepdad is on disability shouldn’t have bought the license and permit if it weren’t for the manager's incompetence. The manager during this phone call was rude to my parents by would not let my stepdad explain the situation taking over him constantly and pretending they didn’t make any such promises they made with them. The manager made my parents feel like fools. That is why there is no way to do business right. I am Not impressed nor happy that people can act like that; therefore, I will never use them nor recommend them.
