A large park with miles of trails. It's a great park for birding, it is abundant with woodland songbirds. The biggest drawback is it is very popular and the parking lot can get crowded, but generally on the trails there is plenty of solitude. Lots of dog walkers, some of whom decide they are above keeping their pet on leash. Aside from the people and their errant dogs it's lovely. You can walk the orono bog boardwalk, the veazie railroad bed trail or connect up with bangor land trust trails to extend your walk even longer.

Nice walk/run/mtb route l. Very well maintained and has a restroom as well. Parking can get a bit crowded especially if you have a bigger car. Very family and pet friendly although the dogs are always to be on leash. They also have bags to cleanup after your pets.
