New Hope Bible Church

Gwen - This is Joetta, who answered the phone at church. The church believes that scripturally, men are called to be the leaders of the church. New Hope does have men as pastors and elders. However, women are able to deacons. Just on a personal note, when I began coming to New Hope, I also did not understand or agree with the concept. I have actually talked to the pastors about it 4 or 5 times - and each time they supported the practice with scripture. I was encouraged to search out the scripture myself to see if I could find support that did NOT agree with their policy. I was not able to disagree with them - even though my flesh did not like it. The important principle for me is that the people that God has chosen are the people who lead our church. I encourage you to come visit and see if New Hope is preaching the Word and is reaching out in love to those both inside and outside the church.
