I've lived at WAL for over twenty years. It's a diverse, international community with large rooms and lots of closet space. There are two pools, a gym, beauty parlor, cafe and library. Maintenance and patrol services are on site. However, there are neverending projects involving noise and dust that are necessary, but unpleasant to live with. Old pipes and resulting leaks are a continuing problem. I don't drive and moved here primarily because of the shuttle bus service, which has recently been dramatically cut. My advice is to carefully consider both the positive and negative aspects of living here before buying.

There are 4 buildings on property with the oldest being at least 35 years old. Well maintained and for the most part up to date
Have only there to tune pianos in 3 different units, but I think its very quiet there, and they have regulations for you name it.

The salon, the café and convenient store are open to the public. The racquet club does sell memberships to the public also.
There is a rental and or for Sale board in the common area,near the community center, that list available units for all four buildings
Yes, there is a convenient store here. They carry convenience foods and snacks, bottled beverages including some alcohol. There are even a few fresh vegetables.
