I had an appointment at the Montgomery Work exchange on the lower level Germantown MD location.Made my appointment with time to spare. If you ask the young pregnant lady at the desk for any information that hasn't been emailed to you forget about it She usually points to the bulletin board for you to find out information because it's not like the staff can tell you of a list of programs, projects events etc. You have to discover on your own what you might be interested in. Best bet... MWE calendar, Google, Montgomery County MD Government, Montgomery County MD Public Library etc The food pantry which starts past the front desk, across from the conference room & the second double doors by the informational desk before Covid that's where the computers were & the staff were mostly in. Unfortunately I watched a woman with her dog be told we can't give you anything here you have to go elsewhere & u can get a bag of food & a box of non perishable from the place on Watkins Mill RD even though we are distributers we can't or won't give you anything from here. Even after the lady stating... I'm hungry and she went to 3 stores her food stamp card didn't work. She has $518 of unreachable foodstamps Even after talking to her(SW) on her cell phone in front of them, letting the (SW) know she was downstairs this is where her (SW) told her to go. The (SW) or ladies didn't give a referral to the place that one of the women told the crying woman to go to. I don't know why the two women at the second desk couldn't be of better assistance. Even after the lady left a second time the two staff members went back to laughing & speakin bilingual But I found it to be condensed when one of the ladies said to the crying woman " oh your having a bad day. " Be hungry and she how you're day is? But while the manager of the area was introducing a new staff member explained what is where and how this function & all that they do. Giving the lady some food was against procedures on 10/11/22 @ 9am through 9:50 am. The few times I have gone just to see how Covid has changed things. It's still has the emptiness of the people who work there are like ghosts you may see them but don't expect a..... How you doing? How can I help you? right off the mark. You will hear some of the staff discuss their family's drama- trauma near the manager's office from time to time. The computers & the 2 printers are available for use Free of charge. If you want to go through training or school etc you have to go on the Montgomery Work Exchange upload your proof of everything required set up and appointment virtual or in person then wait.

Totally disaster. Staff is rude and not ready to even show up at workplace. Counters are abandoned and visitors need to call them several times before someone show from inner parts of office. If you have choice CHOOSE A DIFFERENT LOCATION!

Horrible service.... Case worker never answer or call back they always claim to never have received documents even when there is proof they did.
